Africa DZ's?

Recommended Posts

Hi I am based in tanzania africa nad will be traveling soon to train for the next world cup with my partner and team mate.

we are lookng for a week round DZ that has a suitable aircraft and sufficient loads during the week to do 5o jumps in a short period of time. we would travel back to europe but would rather explore africa.

I have been told all the turbine dz's in South africa are weekend only operations?

thanks for any information.

Hi,

Unfortunately we only have 3 turbine dz's in SA, and they are all weekend only.
The one plane crashed a week ago, so there is JSC and Skydive Xtreme to choose from.

It depends on when you are looking to train, there may be a long weekend that they will be running the plane that you can piggy back on.

JSC runs a pre-manifest system that you can book your number of jumps and if you both have 2 rigs, you can be on lots of loads. There are packers that can get you packed in no time.

We are running nationals in April, so there will be some camps happening before then.

It is not a bad idea to be there for 2 weekends anyway, tour the country in the interim.

If you need more info, go to www.jsc.co.za or PM me.

Cheers
Bev

yip, not cool. Only the pilot in the plane.

It was on landing, apparently there was a problem with the landing gear and it landed with the props turning with no landing gear down.
No-one injured.
