michaelqld 0 #6 November 20, 2006 For those that may be interested...... There will be a couple of swoop comps at the Xmas Boogie on 27th and 28th December. If you are planning on competing in the Aussie Canopy Piloting Nationals in Feb then this would be a good practice event for you. Start time will be late afternoon, 5pm-ish. 27th - 2-3 rounds of Speed 28th - 2 rounds each of Distance and/or Accuracy These will be run using the rules in the APF Sporting Code, as will the Nationals. Classes: Intermediate and Open Gates: 1.5m Minimal Registration Cost NOTE this is not covered in your boogie registration. Register on the day Jump Cost: to be advised Why are we starting so late: 1) so you can boogie jump all day then have a go in the comp in the evenings 2) so we can entertain the hoards at the bar for the xmas boogie 3) there are LOTS of people registered for the boogie, that means a lot of planes and air traffic (canopies) all day EVERY day. We cannot run the competition in the middle of the day amongst all that air traffic. 4) is cooler later in the day This is going to be VERY casual. No Prize Money No Prizes No glory! Well maybe a little.... All Judges out there are more than welcome to come along and get some experience in preparation for the Aussie Canopy Piloting Nationals in Feb Volunteers needed We reserve the right to cancel one or all events due to lack of interest on the day. We will need a minimum number of competitors to get the plane in the air. Maybe see you there.....
