dsbbreck 0 #4 March 20, 2006 Would Tampa be much worse? I found tickets to Tampa are cheaper, at least from Denver.David "Socrates wasn't killed because he had the answer.......he was killed because he asked the question."
skymama 35 #5 March 20, 2006 QuoteWould Tampa be much worse? I found tickets to Tampa are cheaper, at least from Denver. How much less is the ticket? I think Tampa would make your drive a little bit longer, but not by too much. Just make sure your flight doesn't get in at rush hour and you should be fine flying into Tampa and driving from there. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
dsbbreck 0 #6 March 21, 2006 Last time I looked they were about $50 cheaper.David "Socrates wasn't killed because he had the answer.......he was killed because he asked the question."
skymama 35 #7 March 21, 2006 Oh, I doubt you'd spend that much extra in gas. Go ahead and book it from Tampa, just remember what I said about rush hour. It gets ugly! She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
dsbbreck 0 #8 March 21, 2006 I went with a ticket to Orlando after all. Question on Hotels in Lake Wales. I found a Super 8 in Winter Haven for $50 a night. Is it nice or a dump? Anyone know? The Super 8 in Lake Wales is $65 a night. Any info on it?David "Socrates wasn't killed because he had the answer.......he was killed because he asked the question." skymama 35 #11 March 22, 2006 QuoteI have a rental car, how far is it? There's a little site called Mapquest, it can tell you how far AND the exact directions! MarkM 0 #12 March 22, 2006 Quote The Super 8 in Lake Wales is $65 a night. Any info on it? The one in Lake Wales is pretty nice. It's about a mile from the DZ too. If you go to http://maps.google.com/ and select Find a Business near the Search button, you can put in Super 8 in the 1st box and Lakes Wales, FL in the second one. That'll give you a map with the Super 8's shown on them.
