AFF courses in Europe

Recommended Posts

Check out the freefall university http://www.freefalluniversity.co.uk

They will help you with every part of your AFF trip, from booking flights to helping you find a good place to eat in the evening.

Give them a ring or send them an email and you'll finish your AFF in no time.

Just my thoughts, have a look at the student comments and you'll see what people have to say about their experience with this school.

Hope that helps

Ironically I am a really crap at combining airliners and flying so the shorter the haul the better is one reason, silly I know.
Why, where are you looking to do your training?

I have looked into go further away but it does seem to be that much cheaper going closer to home taking into consideration budget airline fares. Put it this way the money I could save will go towards the first rig.

I do like the look of Lillo in Spain.

I am flying out to florida, great weather (nov to march), great price due to exchange rate, huge drop zone, great planes, very safety conscious, all english speaking etc.

You could get a direct flight to orlando no probs, might be worth thinking about it might work out more cost effective.

hi i would probably try the freefall addicts(freefall university's old spot at lillo) or Skyrats in barcelona, been to the FFU...edit.... they promise a video of you jumps but you don't get one have to pay extra for DVD 55 euros, you pay upfront for the course and if you have to repeat any levels they wont use the money you've already paid, you have to pay again.. if you want to be ripped off try the freefall university

No way!! No offence but you're so wrong! My friend and i went to freefall uni in ocana to do aff course in august and loved it. OK yeah you have to pay to repeat levels (is that not the same evrywhere?) but i think that's fair enough (i had to repaet two levels, my friend didnt repeat any).
Anyway it was so good we went back two weeks later, with a guy we met there on our first trip. There's great people there and such a good atmosphere, i've made great frineds from that place. The coaches are amazing , some of specialising in freefall and some in formation, all real easy to get along with....
And dave is Not a tosser!! All the people that were there on both my trips got along great with him so you must be the one with a problem? He organises everything really well, accomodation, transport etc aswell as the course, and sorts all problems out.
I might sound like i'm singing freefall uni's praises a bit too much but it genuinely is a great placeto do aff, and after that to go back and continue jumping. Im going back again in january. And you just have to look at it's webpage to see how many people go back time and time again.

You wont find any better than the Freefall university, all the staff both at the school and on the dz are superb, there is som real talent with the Instructors and the customer service is spot on .You will always find in life some people who do not get on with others and i can tell you i have found David brilliant.I work in the customer service sector for one of the worlds largest companies and my own experience is spot on.
Look at the student write ups and the amount of people that have done the course and then returned soon after.

Freefall University is THE place to do your AFF. The price works out the same as doing the course in the UK, but you get good weather, and accomodation is included. The instructors are good, and Dave is really helpful. He will arrange every part of your holiday, and also offer advice after you've completed your AFF course. I did my AFF at FFU just over a month ago, and I'm going back in a weeks time.

It's pretty difficult to fault them, and if you read the reviews at www.freefalluniversity.co.uk then you'll get a good idea of what a great time you can have!

freefall university is a friendly DZ, the town is close and there is lots to do , People can bad mouth the place but there opinoins are worthless, disgruntled people are everywhere in this world , skydiving is all about making your own decisions and not listening to to negative people come and you will see for yourself

I guess most people are getting the hint that there are more happy FFU attendees than not! I've been twice now and have to say the instruction and organisation was excellent for both my AFF and FS1 courses.
If Dave is there asking you for money, I guess that means you haven't paid, so it seems fair to me! Also it makes sense that you pay to repeat levels...so if you can't afford it don't fu*k up!

it would seem that for all the people that have had good experiences ...edit, thinking about yourselves people have the right to know about the bad things as well as the good, can anyone of you tell me if you've seen the shuttle bus or did you all share each others cars? can you also tell me about the coach that is there for days out? if its such a good place why would you have to lie about it? oh and the bullshit about one instructor per student this was not true when i was there.....

Just to clear up some other issues, yes the coach was there and they will pick you up if you need it, i had one dedicated coach swiss 4 way team member and captain, you can hire cars at a very cheap rate too. Im sorry you had a bad experience and you are entitled to your opinion but stooping to bad mouthing is ridiculous and offensive,i dont mind a debate but theres no need to be insulting.(its the sort of thing that could and should get you barred from the site)Keep up the debate dude.:D

we are open to debate but when some one has ripped you and several other students off while your there you do end up bad mouthing.. whilst i was there my instructor had several students as did the other insturctors who were there... so to say you have one to one is a lie... which is what it says on the site "don't advertise what you haven't got or are going to do... also on reading on the post on this site it would seem david was asked to leave what is now the freefall addicts anyone know why? and the fact that his instructor status is nomore?

Personally, i must say that i enjoyed my time at the freefall university. My instructor was of great help to me. Very professional.

However i did have to share him with another student so yes technically it was not one student to every instructor. Also as far as transportation to and from the dropzone went, yes, there was no shuttle bus as stated. Getting lifts from other students was fine but i felt that if i wanted to leave the DZ during the day i had no means of transport to return to my accommodation so i had to stay at the dropzone until i could get a lift from another student which often meant waiting unnecessarly around the DZ all day. Sharing rigs with other students also proved a little annoying as often there were not enough to go around and i never received my DVD from them but other than that i cannot fault them.
