Flights to/from Puerto Rico are domestic flights, so you don't need a passport, just your regular picture ID. Local currency is the US dollar. There is a page in the XtremeDivers web sites with a list of the hotels in the area. One is just 5 minutes from the DZ. Others are between 15 or 30 minutes from the DZ. All of them are on route #2, so it is a straight shot from the DZ. You can find the list at the Lodging page. There are several car rental companies in the San Juan area. They have shuttle service from the airport. You'll find all the national companies like Avis, Hertz, Alamo, National and some locals like L&M and Charlie.
