mouth 0 #1076 February 24, 2005 Shawn, Dublin is really small. We have more restaurant bars than rel bars. You could hit them in a night or two honestly. I never even bother to go out here unless I'm meeting a few skydiving friends at Buffalo's. Lisa -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit. If my slot & supplies(tape+dubbing fees) are covered - I'm willing to donate video (only) to any/all of the tandems. Clear w/ Spence on all of it first - since I'm his volunteer 'work horse' videographer this weekend...but I'm all about it! Anything in the name of a GOOD PARTY!! ccowden 0 #1080 February 24, 2005 Whoa, hold up. I would be willing to donate MY slot as an instructor, but if you are talking about donating the entire cost of a tandem, I can't do that. I was assuming that they meant that the tandem rig and everything was provided by the DZ and the instructor was doing the tandem for free as a donation of his time. Am I off on that? Just want to be clear if this is really gonna happen.

Amanduh 0 #1084 February 24, 2005 I've done 3, Rosa. The 1st 2 didn't scare me. (2 tandems, then 18 solo's w/ 1 instructor). The 3rd one was on my 63 jump and I SERIOUSLY almost made them let me ride the plane back down. I was going up to the door doing practice handle touches going AHHhHH!! WHERE'S MY HANDLES?!!?!?!?! No, Chris - that's how it usually works. We're not going to GIVE tandems away, but if it is extra incentive for a band/entertainment/guests to come out on our behalf...then they still have to compensate Spence on his costs to provide the tandem....We/You/I are simply foregoing our "pay" for doing the jump. Tandems usually go for ~$160...so if the TM gets 'paid' $40 for doing the jump, but 'donates' his slot...the cost is now ~$120. Video 'only' is usually ~$60 with the videographer getting $25-30...so now it might be ~$35-30. Total package - $155-150. Not a bad price at all! That's how it usually how it goes. And, if it does happen - how Spence will probably do it also. I say...PROBABLY! There are so many 'probably's and 'usually's in here - I stopped counting. It's Chris' boogie...he'll tell us what he can work with. Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic

I pm'd douwanto, but haven't heard back from him. Does anybody know how many TI's and rigs are going to be there? I can get more rigs if were going to get slammed! That makes the Tandems Real attractive as donations for people. That would be up to Chris. If he Did 4 with Video starting with a minum bid atleast to cover the slots. Maybe try to get some help peddling these the local day show. We took the host last year. Just a thought. Might not even need it. I just need a carrot or two to dangle for the bands. Spence: if we're gonna cruise the town for tandems, we should have lots of cards to hand out so people can find us when they sober up the next day. Just the location of the airport will do, and a phone number if there's a land line on the DZ. Maybe the ones you already printed will have enough info. Junkyardpup: Glad youre still alive.
