"SkyPark" Grand Opening

Recommended Posts

YOU'RE INVITED to the GRAND OPENING!

June 12, 2004, of the new Indoor Skydiving wind tunnel, at Perris
Valley
Skydiving, the latest attraction at the newly-formed California
SkyPark, the
world's only aerial adventure amusement center.

Festivities begin at 7 a.m. with the majestic launch of more than a
dozen
hot-air balloons. The rest of the day will be filled with wind tunnel
demonstrations by world-famous jumpers, ultralight flybys, and lots of
descending parachutists, all complemented by plenty of food and drink.
You
can watch these aerial adventures - or have one of your own, including
wind
tunnel or ultralight flights, tethered balloon rides, or even a
parachute
jump! California SkyPark will fill your day with fun and adrenaline,
from
sunup to sunset - and then some. Here's what's on the SkyPark menu:

Skydiving School. Want to "put your knees in the breeze?" The Perris
Skydiving School offers the country's premier training courses in basic
and
intermediate parachuting. Start with a tandem jump, where you freefall
and
fly the parachute while attached to an instructor, or go straight to
independent freefall and parachute flight, wearing your own equipment,
but
accompanied until "pull time" by two instructors.

Indoor Skydiving. Want freefall fun without the fear? Try Indoor
Skydiving,
where you can fly on a 120-mile-per-hour vertical column of air and
experience the same feeling of freedom and fun a skydiver does. No
kidding,
this is as close as it gets to the real thing; that's why world
champion and
national champion skydiving teams practice in this vertical wind tunnel
to
improve their skills.

Ultralights. Want to experience flight the way the Wright Brothers did?
Adventure Sports Aviation offers introductory flights, instruction, and
sales and service for those who want to fly the old fashioned way: low,
slow
and lots of fun!

Balloons. Take a $5 tethered balloon ride and float like dandelion
fluff
above the grand opening landscape. Enjoy the silence, punctuated
periodically by the dragon-breath hiss of propane burners sending more
hot
air into the towering colorful "envelope."

Whether you came to the Grand Opening to watch or play (or both), you
can
end the day at its world-renowned Bombshelter Sports Bar & Grill and
our
special Grand Opening Party. Watch from the outdoor patio as the sunset
load
jumpers land across the runway. Inside, see historic photographs and
action
videos, experience a great menu and complete bar offerings, and listen
to
the day's "jump stories."

We hope to see you there! Go to www.skydiveperris.com for more details.
Bring this invitation with you for $20 off on all Sky Park offerings
during
the Grand Opening. All outdoor activities are "weather permitting!"
