One of the risks of having to many people on the board that make a living off of skydiving is the temptation to do what's best for Him/her group than the fun jumper/student. what do you think?

I'm still trying to sort out my feelings on this issue, however at this point in time I believe that the ideal BoD would be a 50/50 balance of fun jumpers and DZOs. The reasoning is that there are probably issues unique to both groups that would be best discussed and acted upon by the whole group. Does that make sense? It's an idea of balance, I think that's important.

That's a risk. However, if a fun jumper chose to do what's best for fun jumpers, and chose them over DZO's to the extent that some DZ's went out of business or had to raise their prices, then they have not done fun jumpers a service either. The sport cannot survive without DZ's _or_ jumpers, so I think both need to be represented on the BOD.
