freakflyer9999 1 #1 December 5, 2002 I've been out of skydiving for a few years and I'm considering getting back into, but I've gained several pounds. If I remember correctly, most containers are TSO'ed for a maximum of 254 lbs. I would estimate my exit weight at 315 lbs. Besides a modified tandem container are any of the current "sport" containers TSO'ed for this much weight? KG
PhreeZone 14 #2 December 5, 2002 Javelins are now updated for that limit. Getting a used one thats newer with the updates under the new TSO will be hard. I think Wings are also and possibly Vector3's. Email Sunrise and RWS to confirm on those.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

Sonic 0 #4 December 5, 2002 I think my rig has TSO 23c (d) - what about that? (My rig is at the dz, so I cant check, but I've seen it somewhere).----------------------------------- It's like something out of that twilighty show about that zone
billvon 2,356 #5 December 5, 2002 Jeez, I forget all the sub-designations. I think C23b had a normal and high speed category (trivia question - which rig is certified to high speed?) but I forget what the subcategories for 23c were.

darkwing 4 #7 December 5, 2002 The bottom line is check with the manufacturer. I have a close friend who jumps a lot and is very close to your weight. His main in a cobalt 150. I think his rig is a mirage, but that doesn't mean it is certified for his weight necessarily. -- Jeff My Skydiving History
