Pammi 0 #1 December 22, 2002 Did anyone else see the Real TV bit about the jumpers who jumped a kayak? It was pretty cool. They spent quite a bit of time practicing how to land it in the water without flipping over by putting it into a pool, then even showed them taking the kayak into a wind tunnel to practice flying with it. They dropped it from a balloon somehow strapped onto them with them sitting in it, then flew it down under canopy and landed in the water. It was the most original jumping thing I've seen in a while! Pretty awesome! Pam
ladyskydiver 0 #2 December 22, 2002 I saw it. I thought it looked like a blast.Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
flash 0 #3 December 23, 2002 Yea it looked pretty cool!! The only thing I didn't understand about the wind tunnel is that they really didn't have any freefall...it was a direct deployment from the balloon. Oh well it was still cool Gravity powered...Air cooled!

hookitt 0 #5 December 23, 2002 I missed it, was that Miles D landing the Kayak? He's been known to swoop the pond in lodi and a few other stunts. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
PhreeZone 15 #6 December 23, 2002 Troy Hartman took a Kayak out the back of the Perris Skyvan for a stunt on MTV's Senseless Acts of Video about 2 years ago now. He took a nice long delay, flew it with his sit suit on and deployed a canopy that looked quite a bit like the Stiletto he normally jumped on the show. It waseither a Stiletto or a Fox and then he landed it right in the middle of the Student circle and slid with in about 5 feet of the cameras to deliver his prescripted speach. Way cool stunt.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
