SKYWHUFFO 1 #1 July 6, 2003 FANTASTIC!!!!!!!! I just got back from skydive Greensburg great time!!! They now have their wind tunnel running, lots of power for the freefliers and the only tunnel located right now on a DZ. I liked the fact I could get on a few loads and fly the tunnel all in the same place. If you are in the midwest and hate the drive to Tenn or Orlando for tunnel time I STRONGLY encourage you go try out this tunnel as well as a good turbine DZ. They have info up on their website now so check it out unde DZ's
Unstable 8 #2 July 6, 2003 I checked it out on the Greensburg website, but it didn't tell us on the page what they are charging per hour/minute in the tunnel? I know that it's an invaluable RW training tool, but is it affordable?=========Shaun ==========
sdctlc 0 #3 July 6, 2003 Anybody know the prices? After looking at the pictures it looks narrow, how wide is it? The pictures make it look smaller in Diameter than Skyventure. Also the design is different. Looks like you can see the power source at the bottom (big propeller) what do they have around it, It looked open down there in the pictures but it was not an up close look. Has this particular design been used previously?? Also being set outside do ground winds affect the flow of air inside the tunnel? Scott C."He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!" SkymonkeyONE 3 #4 July 6, 2003 Looks like an enclosed version of the one Frank Arenas has.

SKYWHUFFO 1 #6 July 6, 2003 I don't remember the smaller time breakdowns but the price i do remember is 15 min of time was $125.00 compareable to other tunnel prices. the tunnel is about 12 ft wide designed for no dead air space because of the design. The design is different than flyaway or sky venture as well as somebody mentioned Arenas model. 2 people can fly comfortably. If you want the specifics call Skydive Greensburg and ask for Rodger. he is the engineer, designer builder and operator. The website pics are from when it was being installed and it looks a little different with the power source enclosed ar it is now. If you are close go check it out and jump the new grand caravan while you are there, you won't be disappointed with the tunnel or the DZ. I know the time i spent in there helped my flying and corrected some mistakes. It is a great tool!!
groovychic 0 #7 July 6, 2003 Hey thats my home DZ! The wind tunnel is awesome! They ran an add in the local paper for whuffo's saying it was $30 for 3 min. cheaper than skyventure. I am not sure if those are the same rates for expierenced jumpers. call Bob at 1-800-skydive.
cindee 0 #8 July 6, 2003 QuotePeople!! people!!, wait just a little and come to New Jersey's wind tunnel. My son will be thrilled to hear this. He wants to be a tunnel rat so he can start skydiving when he is 16. __________________________________________________ "If happy little bluebirds fly above the rainbow, why oh why can't I?"
