Would renter's insurance cover gear an airline lost?

Recommended Posts

If the airline lost or broke your gear during a flight, would your renter's insurance pay for it?

The airline will pay almost nothing for lost luggage, and insuring it through them is ridiculously expensive.

I doubt, but just wondering.

Policies differ about what they cover but many have limits on sporting goods; so, make sure you have enough to cover your rig. It would suck to have it cover a container and nothing else.
