I'm going to log off now, and hide in a corner until the feeling of inadequacy starts to fade...:$ I blame it all on being friday and having spent way to much time in front of a PC screen this week:S. Time to get down to my DZ and get some fresh air...

AADs have been mandatory for students in Canada for about 20 years. The majority of Canadian students use FXC 12000, but some schools are gradually converting to Cypres.
For example, the dozen rigs used by first-jump students at Pitt Meadows have FXCs, but the 5 rental rigs have Cypres.
They became mandatory for tandem a decade ago.
AADs are optional for licensed jumpers, but almost 90% of licensed jumpers in Pitt Meadows own Cypres.
