How far do YOU drive to get your skydiving fix?

Recommended Posts

as far as it takes ;)

to be more precise, from 5 to 260 kilometers, or in time: from 10 minutes with my father's bicycle (i can't afford to buy my own :P to 3 to 4 hours with my car

I live in Durango and SD:The Rockies is just over 250 miles away through a couple of mountain passes which means that this time of year the drive is almost as interesting as the skydive.

These days I live in Boulder which is 12 miles from Mile Hi.

For several months in 1975 I lived in Los Angeles and jumped
at the Gulch in Arizona, which was 500 miles each way.

Freefall junkie is no joke :-) :-)

I think I've got you all beat. I'm in Wyoming, and have to drive to Colorado to get in a jump. Works out to about 300 miles. 4 Hours in a car just to find an airplane they'll let me jump out of. Its worth every second isn't it?

8 miles away from DZ.

Yup me too..just 8 miles away from the Skydive Snohomish.

Kapowsin on the other hand is about 83 miles and 1 hour 45 minutes.

Blue Skies south of Bremerton is even more interesting. 30 minute drive to the ferry terminal at Edmonds.. 35 minute boat ride then another 30 minute drive south.
