Aloft? Ok. Does your term "Aloft" refer to uppers?

Winds Aloft is the correct term for the wind speed/direction from usually 3,000 feet on up in 3,000 ft increments. "Uppers" or "Upper Winds" is slang for Winds Aloft.

For example:

FT 3000 6000 9000 12000 18000 24000 30000 34000 39000

PHX 9900 3608+06 3417+02 3121-02 3132-16 3239-28 335443 337253 327362

For Phoenix, the winds aloft at 12,000 ft MSL are out of 310 degress at 21 knots and the temperature is minus 2 degrees C.

Please don't let this thread die.......It has been, by far, the greatest waste of time I have experienced in a LONG time.
I do beg that if anyone who has never visited our wonderful DZ has formed a poor perception of it from these silly ramblings, PLEASE don't come and visit. If you are that impressionable, you and I should not hang out because your mother would not like the naughty things you would learn from me.
