Got a question..

Last week I signed up online for my USPA membership, so it's still being processed.

Can I not skydive in the US until this goes through?

I've got my old APF membership, but I'm pretty sure it just expired.

Did you pay extra for rush service? I did last time I renewed because I had taken two years off and I was eager to jump that weekend. USPA faxed over a membership confirmation two days after I applied. That should be sufficient to jump at any USPA member DZ. I don't believe you will find a USPA member DZ that will let you jump until you have your current USPA card or a confirmation fax.

Call the DZ ahead of time and ask them if they can get confirmation from the USPA. It's possible that it's in the USPA system and you haven't received your membership card yet.

I doubt it's gone through - I put in the application on the 8th.

If the DZ has a computer on site and ther "Group Member" credentials the can check your status here.

Worst case (if all else fails) scenario is that you can buy a temporary membership at the DZ...then you will be good to go!!!
