Groundbound 0 #1 February 21, 2005 I think if I could view an entire jump from takeoff to landing I would be a little more at ease when the time comes... anyone know of a site? Thanks

dragon2 0 #3 February 21, 2005 Think your best bet is either a student or tandem video, since most jumpers tend to just show the freefall and/or landing, depending on the discipline they're doing. ciel bleu, Saskia
darkwing 4 #4 February 21, 2005 The problem with going to the skydiving videos site is that it will be hard for you to find a video with what you want. Maybe a bigger problem is that there are lots of videos of "mutant" jumps, which may give you the wrong impression about what you will experience on your first jump. I'd recommend trying to get a video from the DZ you expect to jump at. Most DZs would have such a video available, for PR and familiarization purposes. -- Jeff My Skydiving History
op5e 0 #5 February 21, 2005 I agree it can be hard to find a movie that fits exactly what you are looking for but it is a good reference to get a general feel. I agree that asking the DZ for one of their day tapes might be a good way to get a feel for what to expect, and you might learn a little while you are at the DZ even if you don't jump. I had a quick look through skydiving movies and the link below is someone doing aff stage 1. It has some ground shots, some plane shots and some air shots (no landing). Definately do not use it as a guide on how to fly, but to get an idea what someone looks like during AFF stage 1 its ok. I enjoyed watching it and it reminded me of my first jump (not long ago). http://www.skydivingmovies.com/ver2/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=1840
JumpCrazy 0 #6 February 21, 2005 This is an excellent one as well. It shows some ground, plane, exit, freefall, canopy, and landing stuff. Its this guy's 6th jump so he only has one instructor with him. http://www.skydivingmovies.com/ver2/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=1604Flying Hellfish #
