Witelli 0 #3 August 23, 2005 Try getting a video of your next jump. Then you can watch it with your instructor and the critique will be invaluable.
riddler 0 #4 August 30, 2005 Let's see - I'm remembering back to some AFF jumps I did when I started jumping. Seems to me that the instructor recommended that I lie on the living room floor, face-down, with my legs up on the couch behind me. Kinda like freefall (boxman) position, but at home, in front of the television. For this to work, you have to press down with your legs until you feel the pressure of the couch on your shins. Then just lie there for a few hours every night while watching TV or reading a book and feeling the pressure on your shins. This builds muscle memory, so that the next time you skydive, it's supposed to help you push your legs down until you really feel the wind on your shins. Does it work? I have no idea - I just went to the wind tunnel in Vegas for one hour After that, I came back and passed all the rest of my skydives with no more problems. Trapped on the surface of a sphere.
