Did you receive your 10 year tenure award?

For USPA members with over 10 years membership, did you receive your tenure award? I recently started my 11th year of membership and realize I never received my 10 year certificate. After asking around the DZ I found none of the jumpers with 10+ years had received a certificate automatically. The only one who did receive his award had to request it. I'm waiting a bit before requesting mine be sent as I'm sure I renewed a week or two late on a few occasions but if no one is receiving their awards automatically I will just go ahead and request it now.

Tenure awards
1. Membership tenure certificates are issued to acknowledge support of skydiving through membership in USPA for significant periods of time.

2. USPA membership tenure certificates are issued at the completion of ten years of accumulated membership and at each five years thereafter.

Qualifications

1. Computation of tenure:
a. The ten-year certificate is issued when a full ten years of membership has been accumulated.
b. In other words, the certificate is issued at the end of the tenth year of membership.
c. Lapses in membership are subtracted from the total time of membership.
d. Membership records are adjusted by changing the "member since" date to reflect periods of expired membership.

2. Certificates are issued automatically whenever a member's records indicate an accumulation of the appropriate amount of time.

Don't expect much from USPA ... I paid for a lifetime membership in 1975 and have had to renew annually evey time I go jumping ... and they wonder why membership is falling? Pfft!

Yes about the half way point through year 11. I figured it had to do with the computer upgrades going on at the time.

Since I didn't ask for it and had not really payed to much attention to it at the time itwas anice suprise.

I will frame it one day with the 1k, 2k, 12 hour, 24 hour, etc certs, or make a album full of them, since I don't plan on quiten' till the assisted care Nurse quits!

Never received my 10 year. I did get my 20 year but only after I requested it. Next renewal will be 25 but I doubt they will send anything unless I ask for it.

Yes.

IIRC, it came in an envelope marked "do not bend" which the post office bent to fit my mailbox.

I got my ten, it just showed up one day. Not sure how long after the renewal. Did not get a 15 yr certificate, and have not called to inquire.

Yup and got my 20 year as well, as a matter of fact they sent me my mothers 40 year so I could present it to her during skyfest while she presented my 20 year to me. They were really on top of it.

I got my 10-year award about a year ago. Surprised me in that I didn't remember it was my 10-year anniversary, and I didn't know that there was an award for it.

Yes, I recieved my 10 year, 20 year, 25 year and just received my 30 year a few weeks ago. All without asking.
