MarkBolton 0 #1 April 15, 2007 If anyone knows where a 15-year-old can make a tandem jump within a few hours drive of central Alabama please post or pm me. Don't need the preaching or legal advice rehash - just an answer to the question if you know it.

BlueSBDeath 2 #3 April 15, 2007 Dude, if your not worried about the legality, just jump him your self You seem to have plenty of jumps and could easily figure out what to do!!! What have YOU got to lose?? Stay safe, good luck!!! Arvel BSBD...........Its all about Respect, USPA#-7062, FB-2197, Outlaw
JohnMitchell 16 #4 April 16, 2007 Why can't he wait until next year? The Board of Directors can waiver the age for a good reason.
BillyVance 34 #5 April 16, 2007 Mark's not a tandem master. But I agree with the first response... the 15 yr old could get lucky at WTS as it's not a USPA member DZ. Of course, there's the other guy who took his 6 year old daughter up on a tandem with a specially-made harness to fit her, at another DZ."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
Andrewwhyte 1 #6 April 16, 2007 It isn't that close, but the age of decision in Mexico is 15.
slotperfect 7 #7 April 16, 2007 This thread was hijacked in a *large* way - the thread about whether or not 6-year olds should do tandems or not (I can't believe I just wrote that) now has a home of its own: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=2762625;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed; Please review the following from the forum rules: QuoteOff Topic Replies and "Thread Hijacking" "Drifting" threads are subject to locking or deleting. moto89 0 #11 April 18, 2007 I was there myself, and believe it or not, you don't need to make a jump right now. You can live to see your 16th, 18th, and even more birthdays without making a jump. Make some calls, do what you have to, but if you end up having to wait, you'll live.Less talking, more flying.
