joblades 0 #2 August 13, 2007 You did a tandem for your 200th? I have never done a tandem, did it feel weird after 199 jumps to not be in control. I don't think I could ever do that. Congrats on your 200th~Freedom is never free
moth 0 #3 August 13, 2007 it felt a bit wierd under canopy for a while, but the tm is a very close friend and a v good tandem insructor and i trust him totally. it was a great jump and i recommend it to anyone.
iamsam 0 #4 August 13, 2007 Congrats on you 200th. Each to his own, but if I was on your wingloading of 1.47 main & reserve, I'd be doing a lot more tandems in order reach my 300th.but what do I know
Malta_Dog 0 #5 August 13, 2007 Aargh I can't wait to do my 200th, it probably won't be a tandem tho. Congrats All your dropzone are belong to us!!!!111!

iamsam 0 #8 August 14, 2007 Quote Pussy Nah, just in it for the long haul. I'm happy to wait 4 or 5 hundred jumps before wingloading ike that. Ever heard that saying about old pilots and bold pilots?? but what do I know
moth 0 #9 August 14, 2007 Ive don 75 jumps with my current rig and ive stood up every landing including crosswind, downwind and also sometimes i choose to land into wind. ive had some v good canopy coaching and not once has anyone said to me that i shouldn't be flying this canopy, im happy with it and i feel confident that im not going to hurt myself with it it. what ive got to do over the next few hundred jumps is be disciplined and not downsize again however tempting it may be. iamsam 0 #10 August 15, 2007 It was probably reading thisthread that prompted my post, and I didn't intend to turn this into a high wingloading/low jump numbers thread bashing. If your canopy coaches and mentors are happy then it's all good, like I said if it was me - you must be a better canopy pilot. You don't have to justify your wingloading to me, my second post was meant for superhina who if his profile is correct looks like an accident waiting to happen. edit: and congratulations again on your 200th, mine is approaching - I may of even downsized by then but what do I know
flr169 0 #11 August 16, 2007 at least it is only a sabre 1.....canopy...if i'm not mistaken it is not eliptical like the sabre 2..... congrats on #200 and congrats on having a personal canopy coach...... i'm no pro...but have fun and be a bit patient.... ==============================Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting - "fcuk me what a ride!" superhina 0 #12 August 16, 2007 Hey Brit, don't be to , your avatar is my point, not your choice of flying your canopy. And belive me, fifteen years ago, when I was in first front line, that was "an accident waiting to happen"Have fun
mnskydiver688 0 #13 August 17, 2007 A sabre 2 is tapered. Flight characteristics between the two are very similar.Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
