VEGAS_MIKE 0 #1 May 26, 2009 near San antonio TX my gf wants to tandem and we are taking a little va-cay to san antonio for her birthday only one i could find with in a hours drive is sky dive san marcos, the reviews on them make me not want to to give them money. are there any other options near san antonio? ASTKU 1 #2 May 26, 2009 Skydive San Marcos is a cool dropzone.... Take reviews for what they are worth. It is a great dz especially for doing a tandem.... You could go a little further up to skydive temple if you want to jump out of a smaller plane (although they rent bigger ones). I believe they also have free beer in temple.... DShiznit 0 #3 May 26, 2009 I've made many jumps at San Marcos - it's a great place, I assure you.... it wasn't my "home" DZ (Temple was), but I had a great time there and actually made my first jump ever there (tandem) in 1998.
