AggieDave 6 #2 June 30, 2009 Don't jump up. Have fun. Exit like the pilot wants you to (in terms of any pairings and timing) and buy beer. Its really just that simple.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

AggieDave 6 #4 June 30, 2009 After. Its the beer rules. You must learn and adhere to the beer rules. If not, then you will never be a successful skydiver. Ever.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

I guess this didn't indicate sarcasm strongly enough. Or is your response sarcastic as well...because I'm not feelin' it.
brettski74 0 #6 June 30, 2009 QuoteWho has done them? How different are they, aside from jumping into dead air? Jumping from a helicopter is the only time I've ever had that falling sensation in my stomach during exit. As far as I understand it, this is usually caused by falling faster than gravitational acceleration, which I in turn attributed to the downdraft from the main rotor. Other than that, it's a lot like jumping from a balloon. Dead air initially and no control, you hear the sound of the wind slowly building and then you can start to fly. cjsgrlsx3 0 #10 June 30, 2009 I did my first helo jump a few months ago! I would love to do another one. I did not feel that falling feeling but from the smiles on everyone's faces I was kicking and flailing my arms like crazy! What a blast, you gotta do one! We, the "younger" guys, are always bitchin` to our older skydiving buddies. Back in the day, in Comunism, they did not have to pay for single jump. Imagine making 4000+ free jumps... Huh? Now, you can go to say, Kolomna, and jump your ass of for 13 euro/jump from Mi-8. QuoteBell 412 in Quincy at WFFC twice!
