US dropzone where i could work?

Recommended Posts

I will be taking a year or many out after i finish uni next summer and i would love to come to america to skydive! the only problem is money. I would love to stay for as long as possible, maybe camping or something, and work for a dropzone packing parachutes to earn the little money i will need to survive.

Does anybody know of any such dropzones which may allow me to do this? Ive had a look and there are millions of dropzones in the US so it would be a bit tedious to go through them all and email them.

Any past experience with landing at a dropzone and working for a while?

Thanks,

If you plan on coming to the USA and working legally, you would need a green card OR a work visa which would require you to be sponsored by the hiring company. Chances of you getting a work visa for skydiving , let alone a DZ to sponsor you has about a snowballs chance in hell frankly. DZ's/businesses employing someone without the proper documentation run the risk of loosing their business license for a minimum of 10 years if caught employing undocumented workers.

thanks for the info guys, il get in touch with him.

Do you not just need a work visa for whatever and just pay the price for the visa, without telling them where you will be working? its your money your giving them. Also, if i will be working in the US, why would it matter where i work in order to get a working visa?

Thanks,
