I lived in NorCal (Davis) for 10 years. Generally, from Thanksgiving to end of Feb or mid March the WX was iffy. Lots of fog and low clouds, but the good news was that high winds would kick up and blow that stuff out. Monterrey was generally clear that time of year. I did more jumps in SoCal and AZ than NorCal in the winter. But not every year was a total loss. Some years it was beautiful all winter long. Check the forecast for El Nino.
