So we didn't call it that this year but it sure was a great time! Our "stealth" boogie ended up a lot of fun. Thank you to everyone that came! I know I had a great time with a lot of great jumps! Hopefully we can keep the first and longest running boogie going for years to come.

The Busy weekend was great, other than not having porta potty's. I hope they leave it the same weekend next year, July is busy enough already.

The reason it was stopped was are almighty USPA board of Directors trashed a motel In the thousands of dollars of repair bills, Thank God Steve and Jane were the diplomats they are and got us back in, Cant say "The Richmond Boogie" without some kind of grin for past memories."Long live "The Boogie" or Boggie as one TpShirt had it.

I believe it restarted in 1987(1988?). If I recall correctly there was no boogie between 81 to 87. The dates may be a little off but close.

I've been trying to research the oldest/longest running boogie in the world and still have yet to find one that has been running longer than Lost Prairie's Jumpmeet, which began in 1967. When did the Richmond boogie begin??

The original Richmond Boogie began in the early 70s, 1972 I believe. It stopped for a few years and started up again in 1987. Not quite sure what the oldest boogie is. Good luck!
