C182 Jump Door 337's?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have copies of their C-182 337 (for an inflight or jump door) that they could share with me? I want to show other examples to our local FAA FSDO before I go ahead with a jump door on my 182

If you can scan your 337 in and send to me, that would be great, [email protected] or fax to 813-783-2171

thanks

Pretty sure USPA owns that STC and has free copies for members.

Whew, I thought you wanted a C-182 jump door on a Cessna 337.

Now, there's an idea!

Let's see:

1. Remove rear engine - discard

2. Change front engine out to a Walter Turbo-Prop

3. Add Tail Gate door in Rear

You now have a mini-tailgate aircraft...

Actually the USPA lists the 337 as an approved jump plane. I don't if they mean with the rear engine running during the jump run or not. B|

I suppose one could safely jump the 337 all day long with both engines running. The problem, as I see it, is if or when something goes wrong and a PC, rPC, etc. escapes and is drawn into the prop. B|

The FAA may say it's OK, but there are too many other planes out there to jump for me to consider the 337. :S

Edited to add: Here's a 337-A in flight.
