New to Skydiving and looking for some advice...

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone...I have made up my mind that I am going to go skydiving this summer. I have pondered the idea for a few years. But never had anyone who would jump with me and blah blah blah, but now I do. I have a lot of medical issues that require me to have a PowerPort Implantable Port in place. I am looking for advice on whether the shoot harness will crush it or not...and also if there is something out there that I could use for padding between the two???? If anyone has some insight for me that would be AWESOME!!!! Thanks! Tiffany

I would be more concerned with changing the position of the catheter than crushing the port. There's a lot of upper body movement in skydiving. I think I'd consult the doc who put it in before jumping.

Not that it matters, but are you certain it's in your Subclavian Artery and not the Subclavian Vein?
