This is a new approach to gear purchases

Recommended Posts

While researching corporate sponsorship for a fund raising event I found this web page.

http://www.sponsoraskydive.com/

Check it out and weigh in with your thoughts.

I am thinking of stating a website called PleaseBuyMeSomeGear.com.
Blue Skies, Soft Docks and Happy Landings!
CWR #23
(It's called CRW, add an e if you like, but I ain't calling it CFS. FU FAI!)

Beer drinking is a time honored way to cherish, remember and celebrate. Each case of beer you sponsor will result in several sincerely delivered toasts to your health and the event or person you choose.

Becoming a beer sponsor will guarantee the memory of your event/person will live on forever. (or least for a few hours).
It's flare not flair, brakes not breaks, bridle not bridal, "could NOT care less" not "could care less".

From the site:
"A Solo Skydiving Rig costs $7,500 and is also good for approximately 500 jumps before it starts needing repair work. $7,500/500 jumps = $15 per jump."

Seriously?? So after 500 jumps it'll need more than 7500 in repairs (so you're better off buying new again)?
I must have been doing something wrong...

I can't decide if this guy is a genius or a complete sleaze! Maybe both.

He's smooth, I'll give you that.:D

Let's just say he has an understanding of human nature

A logo on a parachute is fantastic advertising. Parachutes are easy to see for miles around, and everyone that sees it will watch it for as long as they can.

Bwahahahaa...

This is so weird...all this time I thought the customers paid for their tandems which includes some "profit" which could be used towards gear maintenance...

Wow...I can't believe I've been stupid enough all along to pay for my own gear and my own jumps. Fuck...
