kallend 1,923 #2 July 21, 2010 Seems to be a popular research topic these days. We get a lot of these requests here.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
JohnRich 4 #3 July 21, 2010 This is a duplicate post. I suggest keeping the discussion in one place, here: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3909858; If you had read the forum rules before posting here, you would have noticed that duplicate postings in different forums are not allowed. It's a breach of the rules, and of our right not to see the same thing multiple times.
quesera 0 #4 July 21, 2010 I appreciate your study topic. I feel like people assume all skydivers (or climbers, etc) are "adrenaline junkies," who lead really dangerous lifestyles. Not true! I would say most of us are not reckless at all, and personally, I actually have a pretty tame life. It drives me crazy that life insurance companies, for instance, assume we're all trying to kill ourselves for some cheap thrill.

quesera 0 #9 July 22, 2010 Good point I guess what I mean is that there's an assumption that we'll do anything for a "rush."
