Perhaps working on accuracy skills might render this matter moot?

Cheers,
Jon

Sure, but if somebody does not possess awesome skills, maybe a cell phone is an acceptable substatute...

Yeah, fair point. Having been a smart-ass, it's only a matter of time before I'll be navigating my way back to the DZ after sunset. Bet I'll be thinking about the phone I left in the car.

Cheers,
Jon

if your phone or battery ever gets wet you can get a zip lock bag, put rice in it, and then put the phone and battery in the zip lock bag. and leave it for 24 to 48 hours... i dropped my iphone in the lake went home and did that and it works now.

Took your battery out of your iPhone?:P

As far as the plastic bag is concerned, taking a bag full of humid air to altitude is going to trap that moisture in. The temperature change will force condensation unless it's close enough to your body to stay warm... Just a thought?

I take a Blackberry Storm with me on every jump, I usually turn it off when I'm in the air. I think this is key because the phones that I have gotten wet have all been fine as long as they're turned off while wet and not turned on again until it is fully dried.
...And I'm not gonna not get Randy Jackson's autograph...
Did we just become best friends?
