homosexual experimentation, PAY ATTENTION.

You say that like you are the voice of experience.

Not that I'm saying there is anything wrong with that . . .
I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama

>Why would a plane be at 1,000' over the runway?

Because he has just gone around to avoid the jumper at 100 feet over the runway, or the jumper who's running across the runway to make the next load. Most DZ's have "do not cross the runway below X feet" for this reason.

There aren't no's but they are knows.
1) Know your limitations
2) Know your gut, if your gut says stay down STAY DOWN! I knew in my gut i was going to get hurt the moment i got in that aircraft.
3) ALWAYS INFROM YOUR AFF INSTRUCTOR ABOUT YOUR PLANS IN THE AIR, I WILL ATTEMPT TO DO THIS THEN THIS AND I WILL PULL HERE AND TRY TO LAND THERE! IS THIS OK!?
4) Sit, listen, enjoy the DZ, stay above the drama and the BS. You are doing what others only dream of. The sky is bluer to you than to any one of your non jumping friends. Enjoy this gift of flight. Respect it and respect those that have jumped before you.
5) A rig + all those rides to altitude cost big money, if you are doing this to impress girls just take that money and staple it to your clothes. It will work better and you will live longer.
Life through good thoughts, good words, and good deeds is necessary to ensure happiness and to keep chaos at bay.

The only thing that falls from the sky is birdshit and fools!

Last - NEVER EVER tell your instructor "But someone on DZ.com said..."

I disagree. I'd rather have students mention stuff they've read here so we can discuss it, than not mention it and be misinformed, or misunderstand something, or be confused about something.

- Check your spot and refuse to jump if you don't like it. Ask your instructors "how would you check your spot if you were me?".
- say "catch you later" to peer pression.
- Kill your ego. Prefer to be wrong and well than right and injured.

Never forget to buy your beer when you owe it and if your rigger saves your ass from becoming fertilizer, NEVER forget to buy him their bottle of choiceB|. I am pretty sure those are important.

Never get mad at a troll on dz.com. :S It's pointless and embarrasing. :$[:/]

should take your own words to heart then! :|

Ladies and gentlemen, may I present "the troll".
virgin-burner's favorite things are skydiving and causing trouble. It says so on his profile! B|

uh-uh, you're really a mind of genius; still like to insult people via PM? tells me more about you than my profile does about me..
