Was not meant to sound like I'm scared !or not positive. Shit happens and just don't want the family to be left in the dark!

First, if you have concerns of that nature you should already have a 'what if shit happens' tool in place...

Second, if you happen to meet your demise at the DZ, be assured we will go through your pockets and car and will make certain everything is divided up evenly.

Third, if you should decide to stick with skydiving for the long haul...before long, you won't have any worldly possessions of any great consequence to leave anyone anyway...so don't sweat it.

:P:ph34r:>:(

And by that he means make sure you have a buddy who will get all the porn out of your home before your family finds it.

.

Well yeah...porn, drugs, automatic weapons, 55 gallon drums full of slowly decaying ex-girlfriends. The usual stuff ya prolly don't want mom getting into.

haha so true. I just sold a bunch of thing on eBay to afford a jumpsuit. It may come to selling my truck just to buy a rig ;)

Better move to the DZ, or having a rig aint gonna be good for shit.

I could always pitch a tent in the DZ and feed off small children ;)
Don't forget to pull!

Don't consider myself a REAL skydiver yet!but hopefully I can call myself one in the future. It amazes me how some people on here can make a newcomer feel so out of place.

If you look around different threads on DZ.com you will see this advice many times.... Don't get your info from the DZ.com. You may be able to pick up some vernacular and learn some theory, etc., but all the stuff that "really matters" is going to come from your instructors, the other experienced skydivers at your home DZ and your own personal experiences.

I would guess that it's pretty natural to feel out of place as a new commer into the sport, but do you self a favor and just focus on what brought you in...skydiving.

All that being said, there are some pearls of wisdom is this thread regarding estate planning, discussions with loved ones...keeping loved ones from discovering the sekeltons in your closet, etc.

Welcome to the sport.

Ha.
Selling possessions for jump tickets. Check.
Considering selling car for rig. Check.
Pitching a tent at the DZ. Check.

God...I'm so screwed. ;)

Please tell me I'm not the only one whose mind went somewhere else with this statement.:P
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, all used up, and loudly proclaiming: Wow, what a ride!
