Divalent 89 #26 July 10, 2011 woo hoo! And I know what you mean about the time thing. For me, the realization that I wasn't about to smack into the ground within mere seconds after stepping off the plane ("So I gotta do this, then that, and quickly quickly quickly(!), so I can pull and SAVE MYSELF(!), aaaaaaahhh!") was a key mental milestone. JerseyShawn 0 #29 July 10, 2011 Quote Quote Thought the alti was broke Personal experience, if the alti ever says "5000 feet" 3 times in a row, PULL! During AFF I bought my own alti. Jump 3or 4, I forget the altitude I had a problem at (close to pull time), looked at my altimeter after COA and it was the same as the last look, locked on it, stayed the same, just shaking in the same spot. I pulled. I didn't know where I was altitude-wise. Instructor asked why I pulled early. I passed with a "good call" comment. Had it pressure tested and works fine ever since. Thanks for the heads up Mitchell
JohnMitchell 14 #30 July 10, 2011 Awesome head. Yes, when in doubt, pull. I think you're going to go on to enjoy thousands of jumps.
