Lazarus_762 0 #1 September 1, 2012 I saw Point Break a few years ago, and I've seen Dropzone about a dozen times (funny as all hell - I love to watch them throw Leedy out of the plane!), but thats about all I've seen...any suggestions for movies with lots of wind? Movies that don't totally suck balls, I mean. I've heard a rumor that Breakaway was actually not too terrible... skydiverek 61 #2 September 1, 2012 'Cutaway', not 'Breakaway'. As for Fandango, watch this full sequence : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yEE2NFPDezM

skydiverek 61 #4 September 1, 2012 I have never heard of this movie before, meaning that there is no skydiving in it . There is a 'Breakaway" instructional film (on how to handle parachute malfunctions). Also, there is 'Cutaway' action movie with Tom Berenger and Alec Baldwin. Has TONS of skydiving action sequences in it.

evilivan 0 #6 September 1, 2012 As already said, there are no "good" ones, but this is OK for a laugh: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0111400/"If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation." diverdriver 5 #9 September 1, 2012 Point Break, Dropzone, they're all good. As good as Top Gun is for Naval Aviators. Technically not correct. They're just plain fun stories! Fandango has to be my all time favorite. But Dropzone is cool because I got some time flying Mr. Douglas which was in the movie. Not me. mcstain 0 #16 September 2, 2012 Can anyone recommend good skydiving documentaries? I recently watched a doco on Jeb Corliss (called Fearless) which was decent, would be good to see something similar for skydiving.

Got a fair number of jumps out of Mr D during two events. Fond memories of being front float on Mr D during Skydive Chicago's 70+ ways. One of the hardest jobs I've ever had. I fell off early twice. I'd recommend some of the BPA Filmfest entries - just search for BPA filmfest or BPA filmfest+Gerard Casales on YouTube. Comedy films include "Little Sibson" and "Wake me up before you go go". I personally found "Hooked" very thought provoking.Atheism is a Non-Prophet Organisation

rehmwa 2 #24 September 11, 2012 I don't watch skydiving movies with Skydivers. The skydivers turn into annoying little commentary bitches with complete inability to just shut up and enjoy the fictional entertainment. same goes for watching any activity themed movie with someone who's an advocate of the activity - especially if they are newbies. Edit: the only true exception is the Fandango scene - that's classic and skydivers actually appreciate the thing and are more fun to watch it with than wuffos. (also the original "Proof") ... Driving is a one dimensional activity - a monkey can do it - being proud of your driving abilities is like being proud of being able to put on pants
