This is what those body parts are doing relative to the jumper, of course, not to the earth or the base....

(legs come down = legs 'push' down - relative to the earth, that'll actually lift the legs up.....:P as the amplified force on the lower body rotates the entire body....thus 'up and out'. Frame of reference in verbal descriptions is an odd thing)

Yes. And this is EXACTLY what you should be doing as you turn away from any large formation. You start by getting as big as possible as you undock; this prevents you from dropping below the formation. .



First time I drop below the formation with my technique I will agree that yours is better. So far it has not happened. :)
