So, your goal here was to make Jerry feel like shit because he spent his life helping family and is now on a fixed income.

Oh look, Joe's telling us in a different way that he's rich - again.

Cause, ya know, nothing makes a man feel like a man by causing a young lady concern about her foundation. God forbid you forgo a bottle of wine on the yacht this week.

I find such PA's on childless families to be unnecessary and repugnant. Just because Vance and his MAGA crowd has lambasted them to have less worth than families with 1/2 dozen kids .IMO Joe and other childless families are equally important. Has equal worth. Jerry himself has called for population reduction to save the planet for future generations.

While Jerry enjoys a known fixed income, poor Joe is subject to the uncertainties of stock markets. Such uncertainties is very stressful. Never knowing if he has to lay off a 25 y.o. Filipino  stewardess who has relatives to support.

As for his grand-niece, Joe knows that protecting her government and keeping the GOP-MAGA hordes at bay from seizing the capital. Is more important than a short term loss in college funds.

Aw, poor little BIGUN all butt sore over a childless man's ability to toss 250 bucks he didn't spend on PAC man's and kid counseling at an important election and use what a kid might otherwise see as free money to offer a teachable moment. You also might want to stoke your envy by googling what constitutes a yacht. Pretty much it's anything that leaks slowly enough that you can keep it on the surface, unlike your point.

He does have a tendency to take things literally. I don’t think sarcasm really exists in his head. I’m not sure if that is a strength or a weakness.

He should be ashamed for attacking Joe because Joe has a disability and can't have kids. A respected veteran and all that as well. Politics is poisoning everything thats good and right in America.

I'm a bit confused though about republicans poking fun at the rich. Aren't the rich to be celebrated and whoreshipped in the US?

But you do have kids and grand kids and have thrown out your monetary support for their college educations. To be blunt you have a lot of skin in the game, owing to your gene legacy, and you are hoping that we who have less or none will pick up the slack. I did my weekly $250 just now. I also just now fired off an email to a grand niece asking if it was cool if I shorted this years $15K college fund contribution to support Harris. Maybe that will make reality a present thing.

Hi Joe,

Re:   you have a lot of skin in the game

An opinion, not a fact.

Re:  you are hoping that we who have less or none will pick up the slack

I do not believe that I have ever hoped that someone else would give money to a candidate.

Until the disaster of the debate showing, I was giving Biden $200/month; and a local candidate in a congressional district race $100/month.

After I concluded that Biden could not win, I terminated my donations to his candidacy.  I have and will give the same $200/month to Harris; as well as the same $100/month to the  local congressional candidate.

If you think it is too little:  Tough shit.

I do not so think, it was sarcasm and you have my admiration for the sacrifice you make. Seriously.

Hi folks,

Looks like the coward is afraid of her:  I mean right now I say, why should I do a debate?

And, further proof of his lack of reality/delusionment:  I’m leading in the polls.

Donald Trump on facing Kamala Harris: 'Why should I do a debate?' (thehill.com)

Jerry Baumchen

Clint Eastwood said it best  and I'll give Trump credit for it he knows it as well.

Can't say that I blame him. You know of anyone that ever won an argument against an older angry black woman? If she takes her shoe off - you're in deep shit.

Eddie Murphy, Delirious. 1983 (wow, over 40 years ago).
Edit to add: Video is NSFW, language.

My idea for a Harris campaign ad:

“He was always of White heritage. And he was only promoting White heritage. I didn’t know he was Orange until a number of years ago when he happened to turn Orange. And now he wants to be known as Orange,” Harris said.

And after orange, he turned yellow....talk about a chameleon...

What goes unsaid about Kamala Harris is that she is really a Canadian. Yeah, yeah, she was born in the US to US parents. But moved to Canada when she was 12 and spent the most important years of her life, the next five, living in Canada.

Speaking of a chameleon, er liar. Now Trump wants a debate with FOX hosts after weaseling out of his previously agreed to ABC debate. He also want a big audience so his hacks can laugh at his raciest lies.

If Kamala brings on one of the old white guys to be her VP - is that a DEI hire? ;)

If she brings anyone from a different state, that is certainly a DEI hire.  Trump already did it, as did Biden, Obama, GWB, etc..

Well, brother. The three she's surfacing ain't young.

Even the oldest of the options being put forward is a generation younger than the Stable Genius:

Pete Buttigieg 42
Andy Beshear 46
Josh Shapiro 51
JB Pritzker 59
Mark Kelly 60
Tim Walz 60
