I would propose a slogan or at least a theme for Harris. "Moving America Forward" Putting an emphasis on leaving some of the chaos behind. Kind of the opposite of maga. Framing Trump as a man of the past.

Very true.

However, the overall 'racial tolerance climate' has changed in the past 15 years.

I've said this before, and more than once:

Obama's election demonstrated to me that the reality of racial equality in the US was far less than it appeared.
Racism was not accepted in 'polite society', but it simmered and bubbled below the surface.

Once Obama got elected, the racists all started coming out of their caves and out from under their rocks. 

The "Birther" bullshit. The 'secret Muslim' garbage, which was especially ridiculous given how much negative publicity the pastor at the Obama's church generated.

Once Trump gained some traction as a candidate, the hatred escalated. 
Once Trump won, it got worse.

Can you imagine a "Nazi & KKK Rally" during ANY previous administration?

And can you imagine the sitting President saying, after the Nazis killed someone, that there were 'very fine people on both sides'?

With Trump's anger and hatred, people were emboldened to say stuff that would have been 'not okay' previously.

With it now more acceptable to say that sort of crap, the people who feel that way now realize that there are a lot more of them than anyone realized.

Which accelerates the acceptance.

Much of it is still 'unsaid', but the number of people that would never vote for a woman, or never vote for a person of color is not small.

As I said in the post you quoted (you left it out, but I understand and appreciate trimming the quote for brevity), if Harris is the candidate, I hope I'm wrong about it. 

But I can't see her winning the election.

IMO there is a slight, but very slight chance for someone to challenge her for the nomination.

With each passing hour, that becomes less likely.  I think by Wed she will have it in the bag.

I'm thinking that right now, she & her team are keeping a low profile & planning.  Once Biden gives the nation his 'fireside chat,' she will be out there going great guns.

I would think that right now she is looking around for who she might want on the ticket with her.

While I do not think that she is the best option for the Dem's, she will get my vote; and my money. 

Once again, a ANYONE BUT TRUMP vote.

10 million undecided voters breathed a sigh of relief because they did not want to vote for Trump and did not want to vote for Biden, but they now have someone to vote for.  tens of millions of other voters that would have voted for Biden are now enthusiastic, and with good reason.

Trump did not win any new voters by getting convicted, his base just got louder.  Trump did not win any new voters by losing case after case in civil courts, his base just got louder.  Trump might have gained some empathy for getting shot at, but he is already long past the RNC speech and the 'nicer kinder gentler' Trump and back to his raving self, because they have no strategy to combat Kamala without looking like the actual pieces of shit that they are.

And all the mouthpieces at the GOP can only complain about 'how the dems forced out Biden and had a coup with Kamala' as if they give some flying fuck about how the Democrat party operates.... it looks weak, lame, and sounds like a five year old that dropped their lollipop in the sand.  And then whining about how much money they had to spend already on Biden....1-800-waa-aaah

Harris will choose a white man to be VP and she will win, likely by the same margin as Biden won in 2020, because no votes have changed hands in the past 4 years and like I said, Trump most certainly has not gained any being the POS convicted felon that he is.

1 week ago I would not have bet on the Democrats winning.  I am back to $500 bets that Trump, if he is in the election in November, will lose that election.

How long till Trump brings up the time Harris failed to report that evidence had been lost to theft in the evidence room. As a result over 1,000 drug prosecutions had to be dropped. He will label her the lying prosecutor just like the ones that prosecuted him. It will be the Harris crime family shortly.

Trump likes easy to remember labels because it make it easy for his base to focus.

well here's another way to look at it.  The USA elected a black man before they would elect a woman, that is how we think of women.  Now we might elect a black woman rather than re-elect Donald Trump.  Again, I think the case is not about sexism or racism.... I think it was about finding a reasonable contender to take on Trump, and that is all that it needs.  Because Trump is a convicted felon, rapist, fraud, con man and a crook.  There is no denying that from anyone in the USA, that is, anyone that has a brain

What I am reading is that her on the POTUS ticket is energizing the 18-34 yr old voters & black women voters.

These are two groups who easily sit out elections because they do not like the choices.
