Part of that is his obvious political animal appealing to his base. i.e. the "illegal immigrants eating pets". But the rest is downright staggering. When his free thinking is verbalized, his rambling ideas are flowing from his mouth. Its stunning how stupid he is. Its not caused by some sort of obvious physical agent like drugs, alcohol, etc. He makes MTG look smart. His just announced crypto is a part of his smart. You forgot about the Chinese & Japanese.

The racism against the Chinese was probably the strongest, and culminated with the Chinese Exclusion Act.

Not at all, and there are far more that I could list.  Russians, Cubans, Puerto Ricans . . .  the one common factor is that they look/act/sound different and so can be hated as a group.  And for some politicians, hate works.
