Full Face for Big Heads?

Recommended Posts

I have a very large head, a pretty large nose, and nowadays I also have a significant amount of big, curly hair.  My XXL Cookie G3 just barely fits, and depending on how I tie up my hair my nose is either touching the visor or is 1 to 2 mm away from it. I'd rather have an open face but it's challenging when you wear glasses. But that's a different topic.

The old Parasport Z1 full face helmet fit my large head easily, it is too big for even the biggest Cookie G3.  I can wear a size L G4 or G35, but the G3 is no good.  So many people sell barely used helmets because what they thought would fit based on how another model feels...never count on that, except as a reminder there are a lot of barely used helmets for sale.

It's very head shape dependent, though. Because the Z1 in extra large was so close to my face that the shield did nothing but keep the wind out of my eyes -- any kick would have hit me. I tried it on, no way. But a medium KISS fits me; a large (or maybe XL) Oxygn.

Same thing with motorcycle helmets. You have to try them on.

I have a large skull and I love Bonehead helmets.  They have different shell sizes, and you can further adjust the fit by adding/removing shims in the helmet liner.  I've owned several other brands, and after buying this Bonehead, I'll never buy anything else.

I agree.

Buy Bonehead Aero XXL. You can adjust it up and down.
