Stumpy 284 #4 January 11 Wow. R's really got their asses handed to them in that hearing. Although I'm sure the MAGAs probably see it the other way round.
ryoder 1,590 #5 January 18 Jared Moskowitz proves unequivocally that the GOP is using the border strictly as a talking point, and does not want anything done about it:
ryoder 1,590 #6 March 12 (edited) One of the last remaining Republicans who can still think for themselves, Ken Buck got fed up with the pandering to the Orange Moron, and had announced he was leaving at the end of the year. Well, now he has announced it will be next week. Rep. Ken Buck to leave office early Federal law requires a vacancy election to fill Buck’s seat, but the timing is a bit tight. Colorado law says a congressional vacancy election can not occur within 90 days of a general election, which means the vote could occur no later than early August. It will be up to Gov. Jared Polis to set the date for a vacancy election. This is the seat that Bobo has been planning to run for in this fall's elections. ETA: Ken Buck Leaving House Next Week It also appears, since Lauren Boebert is switching districts, that she would have to resign her current House seat in order to be eligible for the Special election. It is also too late to qualify for the ballot in her current district. So, Boebert appears to be in a bit of a bind where she likely will have to resign her current seat in CO-3 to run in the Special Election unless she wants to run against the winner of the Special Election in November, which is not ideal. Bwahaha! It looks like he is giving a parting gift to Bobo. It's no secret he has a very low opinon of her. Edited March 12 by ryoder

That means the House will now be 218-213. But it's very likely that the New York special election will result in a democrat, which means it will then be 218-214. Which, in turn, means that if two republicans defect, then whatever they are trying to do - fails.
