Egypt claims Netflix is " Black-washing" Cleopatra

OMGoodness .....WOKE is pulling a Memory Hole about Egypt...

Netflix's Queen Cleopatra documentary has recently become the subject of controversy due to its casting of black actor Adele James as Cleopatra VII Philopator. The casting decision has sparked accusations of "black-washing" the historical figure, which has prompted a response from the Egyptian governmental agency, the Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA). Per Deadline, the SCA addressed the controversy in a statement, presenting their perspective on Cleopatra's ethnicity and race.

The SCA criticized the documentary's portrayal of Cleopatra VII, calling it a "falsification of Egyptian history and a blatant historical fallacy." https://movieweb.com/egyptian-governmental-agency-responds-to-netflixs-queen-cleopatra-casting-controversy/

OMG!  Woke insanity is portraying an African queen as BLACK!

But Jesus is always played by a white guy, even though he was Middle Eastern.  That's fine and NOT WOKE because, well, white.

And of course John Wayne played Genghis Khan, and that was NOT WOKE because, again, white.

Cleopatra was GREEK ...... Her parents were Macedonian. ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!

You’re just demonstrating your own ignorance here. Her father was a descendent of a Macedonian general, but no one really knows who her mother was. That’s just one generation back and already half of her heritage is completely uncertain. And her family lived in (checks notes) Africa. For hundreds of years since Ptolemy I. And Macedonians were never shy of fraternising with the natives.

So I really don’t know why you find your own lack of awareness so amusing.

Nope.  Her father was.  On her mother's side, no one is really sure.  Archaeologist Duane W. Roller believes that she may have been three-quarters Greek and one-quarter Egyptian; Egypt, of course, being in Africa.

Nope.  I claim that we don't know.

You just said she was at least 3/4 white. And you were guessing about the other 1/4 even though historians say she was totally Greek.

They do not say that.

By the way, when was that picture made? Do you think the artist used scientific means to create it?

That was made about 1900 years ago. They used Historical information. On a time line much closer than a fake documentary made last year. ROTFLMAO

Then how do you explain this?

(And have you ever considered spending less time laughing and more time thinking?)

wiki ...ROTFLMAO ... You can write anything you want on Wiki.

You can. And it’ll probably be edited back to something closer to what’s generally accepted according to external sources within minutes or at most a day, unless the subject is arcane and little-referenced.

It’s a picture. Do you think it’s fake because it’s included in a Wikipedia article? Do you think the picture you posted is fake because it’s included in the same Wikipedia article? What is it you get out of so loudly displaying your own ignorance?
