Belief in man made climate change declining

Climate change impact on coffee production - so it's not from one of the many farms facing new challenges.

Like everything else ignorance forcibly refuses to acknowledge, it's just a matter of time until it affects the non-believers directly.

This infidel will stick to the facts and not be swayed by the proselytizing of the climate cult.

This is your problem with facts:

Claim: bullets kill people

Observation: bullet misses target and doesn't kill person

Brenthutch: see bullets don't kill people, the facts show it.

Not quite…more like…

Claim: Climate change puts coffee production in peril

Observation: Coffee production is at or near record levels

Climate cult: deny and obfuscate :seenoevil::hearnoevil:

Uhmm, yeah not really.

Claim:  farm in Guatemala claims coffee production in peril due to climate change

Observation: global coffee production is up, specifically in Brazil and Vietnam.

Brenthutch: see there can't be a problem in Guatamala.

More to the point is that BH can still afford all the coffee he wants so it just doesn't matter.

If there is, it’s called weather.  BTW what ever happened to that climate change induced mega drought in California?

And weather is impacted by climate.

It was followed by record breaking precipitation. One of the effects of climate change is weather patterns that swing from extreme to extreme.

I guess California is in an extreme state of non-drought

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/may/15/german-greens-suffer-setback-in-bremen-local-election

“Even among a progressively minded urban electorate, the party was punished as it set about turning promises to reduce carbon emissions into action: Green voters who like the idea of car-free cities are now also concerned about the social consequences.” AKA cost.

Here in the US, once the electorate starts to get a real taste of the costs involved, support will evaporate and the Ds will abandon the GND, like the rats they are, leaving a sinking ship.

Good to see that the people who died in flooding in California earlier this year are entertaining to you.

They were from California, so probably bud-light drinking, trans loving communists who don't really deserve to live anyways....right.

Are you suggesting nobody would die from flooding if CO2 were at preindustrial levels?

Let me help you out

Rank Death toll Event Location Date
1. 422,499–4,000,000[49] 1931 China floods China 1931
2. 900,000–2,000,000 1887 Yellow River (Huang He) flood 1887
3. 230,000[50] 1975 Banqiao Dam failure 1975
4. 145,000 1935 Yangtze flood 1935
5. 100,000+ St. Felix's flood, storm surge Holy Roman Empire 1530
7. 100,000[citation needed] 1911 Yangtze River flood China 1911
8. 100,000[51][52][53][54] The flood of 1099 Netherlands & England 1099
9. 50,000–80,000[52] St. Lucia's flood, storm surge Holy Roman Empire 1287
10. 60,000 North Sea flood, storm surge 1212

You seemed to imply flooding deaths were a function of man-made climate change.

Ahhh, we are back to this:

Seems the only thing we are back to is your obfuscation.

Let’s return to discussing the collapse of support for climate initiatives once the costs start to hit folks in the pocketbook.

Ahh, the "people don't want to pay for it therefor it doesn't exist" approach.

 Stellar thinking!

......It contributed to horrible fires that caused billions in damage. What point do you think you're making?

Yes, that is the problem. The average global temperature is rising leading to more extreme weather events. Thinking climate change just means everyday is hotter than the past is honestly just sad if it's held as a true belief. A caricature of a straw man

The OP is not about climate change per se, it is about how belief in man made climate change drops as costs rise. If you have something to contribute, be my guest.

You are no less boring than ever. So what if you are right between bookends, the big scheme of things still exists.

I’ll take that given everything between the bookends contains the entire library.;P

Here is some more foreshadowing from Germany

https://www.politico.eu/article/german-government-coalition-greens-robert-habeck-combustion-motor-heat-pumps-coal-phase-out/

“The Greens have every reason to be nervous, as their climate policies are becoming a hard sell in Germany. Despite a general consensus that the country needs to act urgently to fight the growing crisis around climate change, Germans are less convinced when this involves bans or costly investments.”

So, what you're missing is that there are multiple problems. One of which is a warming planet and another of which is the prevalence of short term, selfish thinking based on lame assed arguments that the cost is too high. You know, like the old AAD arguments. No matter, with or without you it's happening.
