Because, after all, in the US, the biggest money maker is what's right. Pandering to the right, because they drink more Bud, is the right thing to do. And if we breed more righties, then they'll just fall into what's easy, instead of challenging themselves.

Kind of like all those people who invented stuff and started cool things (like, for instance, the Founding Fathers) -- they, all took the easy path, right?

Yep.  After the Woolworth's lunch counter protests of the 1960's, upstanding Southerners started boycotting Woolworth's to protest their disgusting policy of allowing black men to eat lunch with innocent, defenseless white women.  Their sales went down in the South.
