Yep.   And indeed they are often the ones doing the grooming.

After all, Ghislaine Maxwell groomed girls for sex trafficking from Mar-a-Lago, a place where the owner ogled ten year old girls and hoped to date them eventually.  And of course Joel Greenberg actually DID traffic in underage girls, and his wingman Matt Gaetz is under investigation for just that.  But Trump republicans support him 100%.

And for younger kids who need to be groomed into accepting the ways of conservative men, there are book series like the Tuttle Twins, advertised to instill conservative values in the very young.

There's an old saying that when you seen an extremist politician attacking someone else for doing something - safe bet that they are already doing it.

So now Ron DeSantis wants to arrest any parent who allows his child to watch a drag show, and then take their children away.

DeSantis himself has three kids.  We need an investigation into whether he has ever allowed them to watch M*A*S*H, an authentic Shakespearian play, Tootsie, or any Monty Python.  Or the "perverted adults" who do that.  Surely the public deserves to know if DeSantis - who wants to be president - allows his children to watch "perverted adults obsessed with sexualizing young children" like Terry Gilliam, John Cleese, Eric Idle and Dustin Hoffman.

Yes, one would struggle quite a bit to find an example of DeSantis wasting limited time and resources....Florida paying to fly migrants from TX to Martha's Vineyard, or picking fights with Disney make all the sense.

82% of Americans see climate change as a threat (according to Pew Research), you'll probably say they're "sheep" or misinformed, but when DeSantis is popular you suddenly use popularity as a beacon for truth and those people are suddenly perfectly informed. Can you guess what the difference is?

Yep.  If he spent all his time improving education instead of attacking Disney and trans people, Florida would be #1 in math scores instead of #50.

Indeed he is.  He is a great actor and huckster - and excels at using hate to garner support.  By making up "perverted adults obsessed with sexualizing young children" and then getting people to hate them, he creates allies in hate across the state.

And since Florida generally comes dead last in education, few people there understand history well enough to know the downsides to that.

So much of a threat that they are unwilling to spend 27 cents a day to do something about it.

If neighborhood dogs are shitting in peoples yards, pretty much 100% of people would be against it and want it to stop. Also, pretty much 100% of people wouldn't want to pay more tax to solve the problem. In fact, pretty much 100% of people would want the people whose dogs are shitting in yards to pay for the cleanup before they ever get handed a bill. Now, just like Superfund sites, sometimes the perpetrators can not be brought to justice soon enough and the problem is big enough that people are forced to pay for the problem. With Climate Change I think most people do not think we are there yet because the responsible parties are available and have loads of profits from causing the problem to help pay for the solution.

This is a great book:  A Civil Action is a 1995 non-fiction book by Jonathan Harr about a water contamination case in Woburn, Massachusetts, in the 1980s.

A Civil Action - Wikipedia

If you have not read it, I do recommend it.  It also was made into a very good movie.
