JoeWeber 2,294 #1 Posted January 3, 2023 Seems to me a deal that gives 6 D votes and thus the speakership to McCarthy in exchange for no committee assignments for Greene, Boebert, Biggs, Gaetz, and Gomert, et al. would be not only a fair swap but a joyous belly laugh.

Phil1111 908 #3 January 3, 2023 So a deal for the ringmaster's job in the newly formed circus. Shouldn't someone ask the other circus animals, or at least the clowns?

If McCarthy accepts D votes to be Speaker it's not the Lib's getting owned, it's McCarthy getting owned. 2. If he does accept it will show that he's nothing less than a whore. 3. The shit storm from the extreme wing will be epic, make the media daily, and help show how unable to govern are the R's. Even if it falls apart right away what's not to like? Sure there were. A poster here claimed that because of Obamacare he had to declare bankruptcy and shutter his small business. He lamented all the lost jobs, how he had to sell off his business etc. A month later, he was grousing about how much it cost to run his work vehicles. I bet those "thousands of doctors" comment is just as honest.

Phil1111 908 #22 January 4, 2023 Instead of suggesting solutions. Joe should be suggesting the right rum for celebration. The Murdoch troll farm, aka FOX, must be in a tizzy. I'd almost be tempted to subscribe to it. Except that the profits go to Putin as well. Biden's laptop is getting cold. The sycophants are fighting like cornered rats. trump is being ignored. Who is going to be on the laptop committee? How can an agenda of lying be initiated? Without a conductor, a ringmaster? Life is truly good in 2023 so far. Nothing to do with ACA, she just said she'd had enough of taking calls at 3:00a.m. and wanted a 9 - 5 job. She went to work for a health insurance company. But I'm sure some partisan hack would blame Obama.
