Well, since the attacker then hit Pelosi and seriously injured him when the door was opened, it wasn't a great choice. It may or may not have been the choice I would have made under the circumstances. I don't know, I wasn't there. But, as I noted, I can see why that choice was made. Giving the cops instant access vs waiting for them to force their way in. The cops will not kick in the door instantly. Not in that neighborhood.
