Russian Pilot Parachute & Harness Question

Does anyone know how to remove the screw/bolt from the D-Ring so I can detach the parachute lanyards? I tried to turn the screw with a screw driver both ways but in just a little of a turn it gets tight and does not seem to loosen up. Please Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, both have threads. The hairpin is right, and the counter screw is left, as i remember. I hope this is not recognized as a military secret)

Which one is the hair pin and which is the counter screw. Forgive my stupidity.

there is a noticeable thin at the far end of the pin

Just to be clear. The hair pin is turned clockwise and the counter screw is turned counter clockwise?

The main pin is the usual right thread, the counter screw is left. You may have to use two screwdrivers and more hands to disassemble it. And vise, clamp etc...
