Sticky rubbercoating

Question

Just took out my altitrack from the störe, Rubber coating has gotten sticky - any sugestions on what to do besides removing it (which is a royal pain in the Butt)

isopropanol works.

common problem with Ferrari switches on the cars from late 90s to about 2012...............

Sorry to bring back an old thread, but

Isopropyl/isopropanol will help remove the rubber.

Unscented baby powder or starch (applied lightly with a rag) will dry it up, if it's not too far gone. Useful as a preventive measure too.

My aging VISO II got the alcohol treatment several years back.
