colin 0 #1 July 20, 2010 Does anyone know of a T206H being used for skydiving in the US or, preferably, Europe? I'm looking for the STC but I can't seem to track it down. This is specifically the T206H, I know of several T206Gs.
lekstrom10k 0 #2 July 20, 2010 Did you try USPA? They have the one for C-182 four jumper seat belts they sell cheap. Paul Fayard before selling his business a few years ago Had everything at Carolina Sky Sports. Joe Weber at Sky Dive Oregon always seemed a good source. goobersnuftda 0 #3 July 20, 2010 Our club purchased a P206 from the US and imported it into Canada last winter. There are basically no skydiving STC's for that plane. The 182 is another story, STC's all over the place. A 182 is like a FORD half ton truck. Everyone has one and there are tons and tons of add ons for it. A 206 is the next step up but near nothing for it for any type of jump ship mod. We had to get a LSTC (limited just for that aircraft only). Our LSTC is for the extra seat belt, co-pilot door that opens up instead of sideways and the jumpstep. If you too want to try in vane, here is a link. vpjr 1 #4 July 20, 2010 No STC because it was originaly certified for skydiving by the manufacture. Look in the POH and see the operating section "Skydiving". Were is your pilot? Make him read the book. Just remove the seats, cargo doors, and install spoiler. Dont forget the log book entry and Weight and balance.
lekstrom10k 0 #5 July 21, 2010 Oops kind of forgot the flap switch cover when the door is open it takes two screws. how did all the people ever get the STC's for jump steps, handles under the right window for getting onto the tire . Floater bars seat belts for 6 jumpers etc possibly because you dont know doesnt mean it cant happen. A U-206 with a left hand jump door and step has been out for 25 years . vpjr 1 #6 July 21, 2010 The POH says that a person in the back can hold the switch to lower the flaps. A little far for the pilot to reach after all the jumpers have gone so the cover plate works better.
lekstrom10k 0 #7 July 22, 2010 All of that was part of the kit from Cessna "Sky diving ", with the spoiler and step Did the inner door handle get taken off, Fingers were torn off by it? How did the pilot land no flaps every time, and why? Granted the Cessna step was a joke but got them clear legally.Did the co-pilot handle come off even though the yoke post wouldnt? vpjr 1 #8 July 23, 2010 The U206 was certified single pilot with only the left controls. The right controls are an Option and removing them and installing the Cessna parts to configure the aircraft to TCD is a minor or major alteration (Depending on the FAA guy your dealing with) but Cessna gives you the data so an IA can sign it off without STC. Inflight doors, handles, Steps etc. People used to do the work and get it through the FAA, now the FAA is putting tougher road blocks, DER reports, no one wants to sign anything anymore. Drop Zones dont start with a lot of money, now they need the mech and insp to sign paperwork that will probably come back to them for little benifit. Enough time and money you can get it all done. Alot of Time an money.
